Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She is employed by ESPN as an SportsCenter anchor for news. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. It is this skill that helped her get her first role as an Univision producer assistant Miami. In Miami, she collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next job was as an Sports Reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drug trafficking and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she worked as an anchor for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 at 5 pm. She was as a reporter for news with a news anchor in English for 9 pm, the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned to channel Spanish channel. Also, she would fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. She was also given more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor herself. She was the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. In the same capacity, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She also has a younger sibling. In 1992 her family left Mexico and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and in 1995 her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the summer of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Still a senior in high school but with a clear idea what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta was able to visit her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her needs. It turned out that she liked the campus and that the school had the program she desired. She graduated from school and was went to the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a part. They developed a close relationship. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
