Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her native country to the US and was granted asylum to remain. She is the middle daughter of two siblings and was born to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career in the field of TV through a handful of National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri's production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For this performance, she won in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for the Best Actress Award. Her TV guest-starring performances are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Recently, Ghanizada played in a variety of independent comedies You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009 as well as the action-science film Blood Shot. Ghanizada was a part of The General Hospital spinoff General Hospital, which was telecast on primetime television. as the character Dr. Saira Bhata, an specialist in holistic health on Night Shift's second season.
